The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, seeks a patient care support professional for night shifts. You will assist physicians and nurses with EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care and vital signs, and support materials handling as directed by staff.

The role includes proper splint application and post-suture care. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CPR certification, and relevant healthcare certifications or current nursing student status with BLS within 90 days.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification.
• Valid medical assistant certification from a Valley-approved credential (AAMA/NCCT/AMT/NAHP/NCMA).
• Experience in phlebotomy and EKG and basic emergency care preferred.
• Ability to operate hospital equipment and computer systems.

Aufgaben

• Provides technical support to physicians and nurses.
• Assists staff by participating in direct and indirect patient care including performing EKGs, finger sticks, phlebotomy, wound care, vitals collection, and materials management as directed.
• Applies orthopedic splints, post-suture and superficial dressing applications, and assists patients with crutch fitting.
