Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a dedicated patient-care support professional for night shift duties. You will assist physicians and nurses in direct and indirect patient care, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs, wound care, and support materials management under approved policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification, and relevant clinical credentials or active nursing student status with a 90-day BLS target.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintains CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid credentials from a recognized credentialing organization (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, AMCA, NAHP, NCMA) or enrollment in nursing studies with BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physicians and nurses.
• Assist in direct and indirect patient care (EKG, finger-stick glucose, phlebotomy, wound care).
• Record vital signs and manage materials and equipment as directed.
• Assist with crutch fitting and post-suture dressings as needed.
• Apply orthopedic splints and dressings per policy.
