Job summary

Paradies Lagardère is hiring for positions in a retail and dining environment inside the airport in Palm Springs. You will help maintain a clean bar area, prepare mixers and garnishes, and support bartenders and servers during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, and bar areas.
• Assist bartenders by preparing mixers, juices, and garnishes.
• Stock bar supplies and ensure items are stored properly.
• Take direction and collaborate with team in peak periods.
• Use POS to place orders, open tabs, and process payments.

How you can Make a Difference

• Ensure all tables, counters, and other bar areas are clean and set according to standard.
• Collect empty bottles and glasses.
• Bus tables, load and unload glass washing machines.
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
• Prepare mixers, juices, and cocktail garnishes.
• Change out beer kegs safely, requesting assistance when needed.
• Refill ice bins.
• Remove trash and wipe down drink spills.
• Ensure bar area is stocked with necessary supplies.
• Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in the reordering process. Ensure delivered items are stored and secured properly.
• Must go above and beyond for guests and other team members.
• Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management.
• Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards which may include sweeping and mopping.
• Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety.
• Knowledgeable about menu items and cocktail recipes, preparing drinks to assist bartenders and servers during peak periods.
• Use point-of-sale system to accurately place orders, open tabs, and process payments to assist bartenders and servers during peak periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Whether working in an on-trend national brand, or an iconic concept from the local community, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
