Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a dynamic Beverage/Bar Manager to lead our bar and lounge outlets, crafting exceptional guest experiences through expert cocktails and service. You will develop and implement seasonal cocktail concepts, manage inventory and costs, and mentor the team to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 2+ years hospitality management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of wine, spirits and mixology; relevant certifications if applicable.
• Experience with beverage costing and budgeting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage day-to-day activities of one or more bar/lounge outlets.
• Accommodate special requests regarding cocktails, liquor and spirits.
• Coordinate seasonal cocktail changes to reflect concept and quality standards.
• Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, beers, wines, menus, ingredients and portions.
• Ensure cash handling is accurate; balance and reconcile cash and open checks.
• Oversee inventory management, cost control, vendor relations, and procurement of spirits.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff; foster a positive, respectful work environment.
• Address staff complaints and involve People + Culture as needed.
• Schedule employees based on budgeted labor costs and business needs; publish weekly.
