Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants seeks a personable bartender to craft and serve drinks with precise technique, while delivering ridiculously personal guest experiences. You’ll be an ambassador for our bar and create relationships that encourage guests to return.

You’ll greet guests, take orders, pour drinks, handle the POS, stock bar, manage ice and supplies, follow grooming standards, and collaborate with servers and support staff. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of bartending experience preferred.
• Passion for crafting personal guest experiences.
• Excellent wine and spirits knowledge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of credit/debit handling procedures and accurate bill calculation.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Serving Certifications (if applicable).
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, promptly serve food and beverages.
• Pour drinks using standard pour specifications; take orders via POS with accuracy.
• Serve food and drinks and assist servers as needed.
• Notify a manager if a guest is intoxicated or rude to others.
• Unpack deliveries and stock the bar; maintain ice and clean bins.
• Clean shelving, stainless steel surfaces, mixers, and equipment.
• Follow uniform and grooming specifications and maintain hygiene.
• Maintain cooperative communication with support staff and management.
