Job summary

MOXY ATLANTA DOWNTOWN is seeking a Bar Manager to supervise onsite bar operations with a strong emphasis on guest engagement, beverage knowledge, and brand standards. You will oversee inventory, support bartenders, and drive revenue through a refined cocktail program.

The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of cocktails, and familiarity with POS systems. Candidates should be prepared to lead a high-energy team in a busy hotel bar environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of high-volume bartending experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience creating cocktail menus and beverage programs preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Food handling and alcohol safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Lead by example in delivering engaging, high-energy guest interactions.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) for bar operations when scheduled.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the bar at all times.
• Create and implement seasonal and signature cocktail menus.
• Maintain deep knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and emerging beverage trends.
• Train staff on cocktail preparation, ingredients, and storytelling behind each drink.
• Partner with leadership on LTOs, activations, and special events.
• Continuously evolve the beverage program to drive revenue and guest engagement.
• Recruit, train, coach, and schedule bartenders.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture.
• Provide ongoing feedback and performance management for bar staff.
• Hold team accountable to service standards, policies, and procedures.
