An established industry player is seeking a skilled bartender with leadership qualities to enhance guest experiences and drive revenue. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality service, and adhering to safety standards. You will prepare drinks, train team members, and maintain a clean environment while complying with regulations. People Management and Training: This position requires leadership and problem-solving skills to drive revenue, maximize profit, ensure quality of product and service, assess risks and safety hazards, and enhance the bar experience for guests and employees. Delegates tasks and provides direction to staff, managing departments to achieve financial goals and satisfaction.
Guest Service/Point of Sale: Greets guests courteously, responds to needs, and provides high-quality service. Operates Toast POS system and cash register effectively, following all cash handling procedures to ensure accurate financial closing and sales growth.
Bartender Duties: Prepares and customizes drink recipes based on seasonality and guest suggestions. Trains staff on bartending techniques, ensures proper equipment use, and adheres to cost controls. Checks IDs, monitors alcohol consumption for legal compliance, and suggests drinks to maximize revenue. Assists colleagues to meet guest needs.
Paperwork: Completes all required documentation accurately and promptly, including shift inventories and other duties.
Safety/Risk Management: Maintains a clean, safe environment, complies with all regulations, and ensures sanitation standards. Follows procedures for incidents and emergency protocols.
Financial Results and Cost Control: Assists in labor management through scheduling and monitoring. Recommends operational improvements to maximize revenue.
Self/Workload Management: Demonstrates attention to detail, communication, leadership, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Adheres to grooming, appearance, and attendance policies. Participates in meetings and maintains reliability.
Miscellaneous/Other Duties: Completes assigned tasks, takes initiative, contributes to team success, and performs additional duties as needed.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; bartending certification preferred.
Experience/Skills: TIPS or CARE certification desired; 5+ years bartending experience; 1+ year management; excellent customer service, attention to detail, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in English.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and 75 pounds occasionally. Must be able to walk, stand, and move continuously throughout shifts.
Compensation/Benefits: $60,000-$70,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
