Job summary

Luke-Family-of-Brand is seeking a General Manager of Waiting Room in Valparaiso, IN to lead all bar operations. This hands-on leadership role oversees staff, drives sales and profitability, manages inventory and labor, and upholds hospitality standards.

Responsibilities include hiring and coaching bartenders and cooks, executing schedules, promoting events, and supporting marketing while maintaining the music-focused identity of The Waiting Room.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years in food/bev/hospitality preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory/manager experience required.
• Indiana alcohol license required.
• ServSafe Manager or equivalent certification preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours per shift; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bar operations to drive financial and guest service performance.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop bartenders and line cooks.
• Schedule management and coverage resolution; pre-shift meetings and ongoing training.
• Oversee inventory: liquor, beer, wine, food and non-alcoholic items; monitor waste and costs.
• Ensure policies, procedures and hospitality standards are consistently met.
