Job summary

Jama Investments in Chippewa Falls, WI is seeking a hands-on General Manager for a liquor-focused bar. The role combines bartending duties (four shifts per week) with full leadership of the bar, including inventory, ordering, hiring, training, promotions, and cost control.

You will manage LBW inventory, vendor orders, schedules, payroll approvals, and ensure compliance with Wisconsin liquor laws while delivering outstanding guest service and maintaining a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of bar or restaurant management experience, plus strong hands-on bartending experience.
• Solid knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Must have experience managing liquor COGS and bar inventory.
• Understanding of financial controls, P&L management, and cost control.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills; able to balance bartending shifts with management deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Proficiency with restaurant management software and scheduling systems (TOAST and R365).
• Must be 21 or older and hold (or be able to obtain) a Wisconsin Operator's (bartender) License.
• Ability to work 50-55 hours per week on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Bartending Responsibilities (4 full shifts / 32 hours per week) include working shifts, preparing and serving drinks, delivering friendly service, checking IDs, and cash handling.
• Management Responsibilities (remaining 18-23 hours per week) include overseeing bar operations, inventory counts, placing orders, controlling costs, recruiting and training staff, scheduling, payroll approvals, and promotions.
• Enforce policies and ensure compliance with liquor licensing, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
