Job summary

Big Night Entertainment Group in Massachusetts is seeking a Bar Back / Support to keep the guest experience smooth in a fast-paced, upscale setting. A typical day includes greeting guests, assisting bartenders, answering menu questions, and keeping the bar stocked and organized.

The role requires at least 1 year of bar back experience, a neat appearance, strong teamwork, and the ability to pass background checks and licensing requirements for Massachusetts. TIPS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct bar back experience in a high-volume, upscale venue.
• Current TIPS Certification is a plus and may be required if offered the position.
• Must pass Big Night Entertainment Group's background check.
• Must complete Massachusetts State Gaming Commission license process prior to starting.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with staff members.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a welcoming smile and provide fast, friendly service.
• Assist bartenders with all aspects of the guest experience.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Communicate guest needs to bartenders or servers when applicable.
• Clean all glassware and bar tools as necessary.
• Keep work space and bar area clean and organized.
• Maintain a well-stocked bar prepared for all levels of service.
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene according to guidelines.
• Promote Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive manner.
• Work well with others including bar backs, servers, bartenders and management.
