Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is seeking an Assistant Director of Banquets to lead all banquet operations in accordance with hotel standards. You will implement a service and management philosophy guiding staff across events and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires overseeing daily banquet activities, maintaining cost controls, and coordinating with the Executive Chef to optimize food and beverage quality and service for high-profile events.

Qualifications

• Maintains service standards and complies with laws/regulations.
• Understands associate roles to cover duties when needed.
• Oversees daily banquet operations and event efficiency.
• Supervises setup, storage, and movement of banquet materials.
• Ensures health, safety, and sanitation standards; prepares for inspections.
• Maintains cleanliness of prep and storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all banquet functions and ensure high-quality room sets, service, and presentation.
• Establish steps of service for banquet operations and monitor staff compliance.
• Respond to guest complaints and take actions to regain satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef daily.
• Forecast food and beverage quantities to optimize profitability.
