Placements24 represents a well-regarded hotel in Welkom seeking a meticulous Banqueting Coordinator to plan and execute a range of banquets, conferences, and special events. You will coordinate with clients and internal teams, develop detailed event orders, and supervise on-site delivery to ensure flawless service.

The role demands strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with event management tools and MS Office, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Banqueting Coordinator or in a similar event planning role, preferably within the hotel industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during event execution.
• A passion for creating memorable event experiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of banqueting events from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Liaise closely with clients to understand their needs, customize event packages, and finalize details.
• Develop detailed event BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) and distribute them to relevant departments.
• Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, service standards, and client requirements.
• Manage event budgets, including invoicing and payment processing.
• Collaborate with the culinary team, service staff, and technical support to ensure seamless event delivery.
