Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Banqueting Coordinator to manage and execute successful events at a premier venue in George, Western Cape. You will liaise with clients from initial inquiry through to event completion, ensuring all logistical and catering requirements are met to the highest standards.

You will be instrumental in creating memorable experiences for clients and their guests, contributing to the venue's reputation for excellence in event management within the Western Cape

Qualifications

• Previous experience in event coordination or banqueting management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• A creative approach to event design and problem-solving in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of banqueting events, including client consultations, menu planning, and logistical arrangements.
• Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and timelines for clients.
• Liaise with catering, A/V, and other operational teams to ensure flawless event execution.
• Manage event budgets and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Conduct site inspections with potential clients and present venue capabilities.
• Oversee on-site event operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth running of activities.
