Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking an on-site Banquet Setup Associate at our New Orleans property. You will assist the Banquet Manager in preparing for events and ensuring a positive guest experience through precise room setup and attentive service.

The role requires physical activity, the ability to move heavy items, and strong teamwork. You will support throughout shifts, maintaining cleanliness and readiness for each function.

Qualifications

• Experience with setting up meeting rooms and event spaces.
• Ability to lift/move tables, chairs, podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to move goods up to 500 lbs with a hand cart/truck.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work regular shifts.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, transporting materials as needed.
• Replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down meeting rooms after events and reset for next function.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
