Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Banquet Setup Supervisor to lead event-setup operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, and galas across our New Orleans properties. You will oversee setup teams, review BEOs, coordinate with culinary and events staff, and ensure spaces meet client and hotel standards with precision and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to manage high-volume events while upholding Sonesta’s guest-focused service

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet or event operations within hotels or comparable venues.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in banquet or event teams.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy during high-volume events.

Responsabilités

• Supervise banquet setup operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, and catered functions.
• Lead and schedule Banquet House Persons and setup teams for timely execution.
• Review BEOs, diagrams, timelines to ensure spaces meet client and hotel specs.
• Oversee setup/breakdown of banquet rooms, staging, AV equipment, tables, chairs, linens, decor.
• Monitor transitions and readiness throughout service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation across banquet spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Coordinate with Banquets, Convention Services, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are maintained and safely operated.
• Respond to last-minute changes and guest/client requests during events.
• Support training and onboarding for banquet setup team members.
• Follow safety standards and hotel procedures at all times.
• Foster a collaborative, guest-focused culture aligned with Sonesta’s People People philosophy.
