Job summary

HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Head Houseperson to manage setup for meetings and banquets at the Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa. You will supervise the banquet setup team, ensure A/V equipment is ready, and coordinate with supervisors for accurate billing.

Responsibilities include guest service, room preparation, and timely refreshes during breaks, with duties extending to meal service and post-event breakdown. Background check is required.

Qualifications

• Background check required prior to employment.
• Follow detailed oral and written instructions and established routines.
• Safely lift and transport items as needed.
• Demonstrate strong manual dexterity and coordination for hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet setup team and oversee shift operations to ensure all event spaces are prepared for upcoming business.
• Ensure water, amenities, audio‑visual and breaks are in the room at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
• Respond to guest requests for additional equipment and supplies, communicate applicable charges, and notify supervisors for accurate billing.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting guests professionally and responding promptly to their needs.
• Set up, maintain, and clean meeting and banquet rooms according to company and hotel standards.
• Refresh meeting rooms during breaks by replenishing supplies, replacing linens and water service, and removing trash.
• Assist with banquet meal service and event breakdown to support efficient operations.
• Help obtain signed banquet guest checks and submit them to the front office for accurate posting and billing.
• Follow all safety and energy conservation procedures while performing other assigned duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
