Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Houseman to set up, refresh, tear down and maintain meeting spaces to resort standards. You will ensure spaces are arranged per specifications and support guest experiences with efficiency and precision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and hands-on duties in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with duties extending to cleaning, equipment handling, and event support across multiple venues.

Qualifications

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute’s notice.
• Physical Requirements include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly; to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• Ability to utilize various types of cleaning and setup equipment included but not limited to: vacuums, chair dollies, carts, audio visual equipment. Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Banquet Houseman

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Houseman. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards.

Pay Rate: $14-$16/hour

Key Responsibilities
