Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Wisconsin Dells is seeking a Banquet Set-Up team member. You’ll ready banquet spaces for events, from weddings to large conventions, and collaborate with the set-up crew, event service staff, and AV team to meet deadlines.

You’ll support a welcoming environment, ensure spaces are arranged per specifications, and help create memorable guest experiences through attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to stand long hours and handle setup tasks.
• Must be able to stack, push and move banquet equipment in the convention center.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and timely setup of BEO-related spaces including meeting rooms and breaks.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of banquet spaces and storage areas.
• Break down spaces after events and secure equipment and supplies.
• Provide friendly, attentive service to guests and fellow staff.

Banquets Set-Up

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Set-up. In this role, you will work behind the scenes bringing events of all sizes to life! You'll be setting the stage, literally, for everything from elegant weddings to casual business meetings to massive conventions, helping transform empty ballrooms into unforgettable experiences as you set up and break down a variety of events - as no two days are the same! Work closely with the set-up crew, event service staff, and AV team to meet event deadlines and watch as an empty space transforms due to perfectly placed furniture and dedicated hard work.

As part of our team, you'll embody our Promise toLead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll ensure event spaces are perfectly arranged according to specifications, creating a welcoming and seamless environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly enhance both guest satisfaction and the overall success of events.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.

What We're Looking For

• We do require that you have weekend and evening shift availability.
• No prior experience in Event Services? Not a problem! We will train you on the ins and outs of this entry-level position, focusing on creating moments that will last a lifetime!
• Must be able to stack, push, and move banquet equipment throughout the convention center.
