Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, TX, seeks a Banquet Setup associate responsible for setting up and maintaining meeting spaces to resort standards. You will support guest experiences by ensuring timely, accurate setups, cleansliness, and readiness of all banquet areas.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of meetings setup in hospitality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in hospitality (convention center or large hotel) preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player and willing to help others at a moment's notice.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up, refresh, tear down and maintain all meeting spaces per Resort standards.
• Ensure guest spaces are arranged according to specifications for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout banquet areas and storage spaces.
• Assist with equipment setup and breakdown as required.
• Follow management directions and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Banquet Setup

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Setup associate. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure event spaces are perfectly arranged according to specifications, creating a welcoming and seamless environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly enhance both guest satisfaction and the overall success of events.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute’s notice.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.
