Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Banquet Setup associate to manage setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of meeting spaces to resort standards.

You will guide, support, and inspire associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences, ensuring spaces are arranged per specifications for seamless events. Detail orientation and teamwork are essential for guest satisfaction and event success.

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions including meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout banquet spaces and storage areas.
• Break down banquet space after functions and store equipment and supplies properly.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Banquet Setup

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Setup associate. In this role, you willbe responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure event spaces are perfectly arranged according to specifications, creating a welcoming and seamless environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly enhance both guest satisfaction and the overall success of events.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute’s notice.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.
