Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquets Event Coordinator to oversee the setup, operation, and completion of all scheduled functions, and to maintain convention, meeting, and banquet facilities in a timely manner. Starting rate: $19.00 an hour.

As part of the leadership team, you will guide and support associates to deliver extraordinary guest experiences, ensure service excellence, and foster a welcoming environment across events and venues.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, restaurant, and/or event setup with some leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to use computer and standard business systems.
• Knowledge of tourism or hotel/resort operations is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with clients, management, and staff.

Banquets-Events Coordinator

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aBanquets Event Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible forthe smooth and successful operation, setup and completion of all scheduled functions and proper upkeep of convention, meeting, and banquet facilities and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll enhance the guest and associate experience by ensuring exceptional service delivery through effective team leadership, prompt issue resolution, and a welcoming environment.

Starting Rate: $19.00 an Hour

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for administration work including hiring, scheduling, cleaning sheets, note taking and other administrative items.
• Assist with preparation and adjustment of work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts and process payroll accordingly.
• Responsible for the smooth and successful operation, setup and completion of all scheduled functions and proper upkeep of convention, meeting, and banquet facilities and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

What We’re Looking For

• General knowledge of the tourism industry and familiarity with hotel/resort operations is a plus.
• Previous experience in banquet, restaurant, and/or event setup, including some leadership or supervisory responsibilities, is preferred.
• Able to use computer and standard business systems.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with clients, management, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
