Job summary

The Biltmore Hotel Miami is seeking a Banquet Captain to supervise banquet service staff before, during, and after events, ensuring adherence to the banquet event orders and Biltmore standards.

This role requires punctuality, proper uniform, and coordination with catering, stewarding, and kitchen teams in a fast-paced hospitality setting. English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required; Spanish fluency is desirable.
• Compute accurate mathematical calculations.
• Provide clear communication and directions.
• Attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in proper uniform.
• Prepare, organize and supervise all planned banquet functions.
• Ensure staff uniform compliance with policies.
• Monitor efficiency and service standards.
• Set up ballrooms and meeting rooms according to BEO and standards.
• Coordinate meal service timing with Stewarding and Kitchen staff.
• Review BEO with staff and client prior to events.
• Manage setup, teardown and handling of hotel equipment.
• Assign side work duties after each event.
• Generate banquet checks and finalize daily revenue recap.
