Job summary

Providence Marriott Downtown is seeking a Banquet Server to provide guests with exceptional food and beverage service across all functions. The role requires reading BEOs, setting up mise en place, and maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced banquet environment.

Experience is preferred but not required; TIP certification is mandatory. The position involves setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events, working with the banquets team on-site in Providence, RI.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a BEO and set up mise en place accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests with courteous, professional service and explain menu items.
• Maintain station cleanliness and restock water, coffee, and condiments during service.
• Set up banquet tables and buffet stations per BEO; ensure proper table settings and food presentation.
• Assist captain and managers with banquet service, wine service, and guest requests.
• Break down and reset stations, clear serving ware, and return equipment to storage.
