Job summary

Marriott-International is seeking a Banquet Server to set up and serve at all assigned banquet functions. This role requires availability nights, weekends, and holidays, with a professional, guest-focused approach.

Responsibilities include reading the Banquet Event Order, knowing the menu, complying with Alcohol Awareness and other safety certifications, maintaining a warm demeanor, handling prep tasks, clearing spaces, and keeping storerooms stocked and organized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification required by state regulations.
• Must convey information clearly.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests according to hotel standards in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Read Banquet Event Order and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
• Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position to include Alcohol Awareness, Food handlers, Safety, etc.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• Clear banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and restocked properly.
• Respond to guest problems, complaints and accidents; Refer to management, if necessary.
• Maintain the banquet store room in a neat and organized manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
