Job summary

Omni Boston Seaport is seeking an experienced banquet server to deliver exceptional guest service during events and banquets. You will understand menus, serve food and beverages, and maintain impeccable service standards throughout busy functions.

Responsibilities include setup/breakdown, maintaining cleanliness of FOH/BOH, and coordinating with culinary for timing and plating. A strong hospitality focus and professional appearance are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on food and beverage knowledge and hospitality understanding.
• Minimum relevant serving experience in a large convention hotel preferred.
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills with attention to detail.
• Able to engage guests and provide warm, personalized service.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Must stand and walk for extended periods and maintain hygiene.
• Clear written and verbal English communication; teamwork essential.
• Computer literacy including payroll systems, Micros and POS.
• Serve Safe certification; TIPs required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service standards and comply with hotel policies.
• Prepare for health department and Ecosure inspections.
• Polish china, glass and holloware; assist with banquet setup and breakdown.
• Complete setup and breakdown of assigned banquet events.
• Perform banquet sidework and equipment cleaning as directed.
• Ensure high-quality meeting room sets, service, and presentation.
• Assist culinary with food assembly and plate-up as needed.
• Handle linen pickup and turnover for events.
• Adhere to proper trash procedures and cleanliness.
• Contribute to banquet sanitation and timely service delivery.
