JOB SUMMARY The banquet server provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server's primary objective is to provide our guests with an excellent experience, so they will want to return. As one of the primary contacts for guests dining in the restaurant, the server is responsible for serving food and beverage. Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES
- Helps with the set-up and tear down for banquet events
- Serves all food items for the banquet
- Monitors and observes guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service and responds promptly and courteously to correct any problems
- Serves food or beverages to guests and prepares or serves specialty dishes at tables
- Stocks service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens
- Performs cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom
- Escorts guests to their tables
- Garnishes and decorates dishes in preparation for serving
- Fills salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers
SECONDARY DUTIES
- Provides guests with information about local areas, including giving directions
- Fills in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in customer service industry preferred

- Basic computer and clerical skills
