Job summary

The Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter invites you to join our Banquet Team. You will assist the Banquet Manager in serving guests during events, ensuring a positive guest experience with meticulous room setup and attentive service.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, delivering courses, handling beverages and maintaining compliance with beverage policies. A team-oriented approach and guest-focused mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be a cooperative team player.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong stamina to stand and move for long shifts.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to handle guest requests professionally.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor, including linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details and expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverage in the correct order and to Supervisor expectations.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcohol.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction throughout service.
• After functions, reset the banquet room for the next event per Supervisor’s specs.
• Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
