Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Server to set up banquet rooms, greet guests, and serve food and beverages in line with Crescent's high standards of quality. You will attend pre-event roll calls, maintain professional appearance, and work as part of a team to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include replenishing beverages, removing dishes between courses, resetting rooms for the next function, and adhering to safety and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Willing to pitch-in and help co-workers as a team player.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written labeling instructions for safe application of products.
• Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. and operate basic beverage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed, including linen, service ware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages in accordance with the Supervisor’s expectations and remove dishes promptly between courses.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages as needed and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for the next function after completion.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
