Job summary

StepStone Hospitality is seeking on-call Banquet Servers at the Sheraton Needham Hotel to deliver exceptional guest service during events and banquets. The role requires reading BEOs, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for hotel events is essential, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Training provided, equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet or hotel service preferred.

• Knowledge of service etiquette and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality guest service and comfort during events.
• Read and interpret BEOs and menus for service flow.
• Serve items with appropriate china, glassware, silverware, and garnishes.
• Assist other servers and housepersons as needed.
• Relay guest feedback to management promptly.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards and safe serve practices.

We are currently seeking on-call Banquet Servers!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc. Must know how to read and understand BEOs.
• Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist other servers and set up housepersons, if needed.
• Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.
• Maintain health and sanitation standards.
• Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining high standard of presentation.
• Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.

Requirements:

• Minimum lifting and pulling of 50 pounds.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Understands the overall functions and procedures of Banquets and Catering.
• Must be flexible with schedule and adjust to business needs of the Hotel.
