Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking an energetic Assistant Banquet Manager to deliver first-class banquet experiences at the Gas South Center in Duluth, GA. You will work with Sales and Culinary teams to obtain event details and run a Front of House team to ensure event success.

The role involves overseeing events, staffing, training, and maintaining company standards across diverse conferences, weddings, and high-profile gatherings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in related position, knowledge of banquets and Front of House duties.
• Must live near Duluth, GA 30097.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Windows and Microsoft Office, & BEO Software.
• Knowledge of or readiness to learn applicable laws and regulations, which impact food and beverage operations and service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of all events and banquets.
• Ensure all areas are client ready considering their cleanliness, organization, and appearance.
• Work with the Banquet Manager to hire and train a well-qualified staff.
• Assist with the day-to-day duties and monitoring of staff and banquet operations.
• Direct and motivate banquet team and ensure a good environment of teamwork and employee satisfaction.
