Job summary

The Midland Hotel in Chicago, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, seeks an experienced Banquet Manager to lead daily banquet operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, and catered events. You will supervise banquet captains and servers, coordinate setup, service, and breakdown, and ensure service standards align with Pyramid and Marriott Tribute Portfolio guidelines.

Based in the Chicago Loop, you will partner with Event Managers, the Executive Chef, and other departments to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience leading banquet operations for large events.
• Ability to manage multiple functions and staff.
• Strong knowledge of service standards and guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Direct banquet operations from setup through breakdown.
• Review BEOs, group resumes, diagrams, and special requests.
• Lead pre-shift briefings and coordinate with hotel departments.
• Inspect event spaces for readiness and cleanliness.
• Coordinate food production timing with Executive Chef and culinary team.
• Serve as primary contact during events and resolve client concerns.
