IHG is seeking an experienced Banquet Server to join our banquet team in Chicago. You will oversee function setup, ensure service excellence, and maintain compliance with hotel standards. The role includes direct host interaction, daily log and payroll duties, and cleanup oversight.

Occasional shifts may arise for larger private dining events or slower banquet periods. We value confidentiality, professional communication, and a positive, guest-focused presence.

Responsibilities

• Oversees setup of functions and updates function sheets.
• Oversees service to ensure success and adherence to rules.
• Meets hosts and remains accessible for needs.
• Closes banquet checks after functions.
• Oversees cleanup and storage of linen and props.
• Reports incidents to Director of Banquets.
• Monitors server side work daily.
• Performs side work as assigned.
• Prepares daily log book, payroll hours and paperwork.
• Oversees cleanliness of pantries and storage areas.
• Checks function rooms for maintenance issues and reports.
• Assists in training Banquet staff.
• Attends meetings and briefs; may assist with larger parties.
