Job summary

The Langham Chicago is seeking a Banquet Operations Manager to coordinate banquet activities and ensure exceptional guest experiences in line with Langham Hospitality Group and Forbes standards.

You will finalize food, beverage and meeting room setups, train staff, and support executive and banquet teams during peak service periods, while promoting sustainability and maintaining top-tier service quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a manager in a high volume upscale or luxury operation.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Finalize food, beverage and meeting room set-up requirements.
• Familiarization with catering's standard operating procedures and adhering to these guidelines.
• Establish and maintain customer contact at all functions.
• Promote energy conservation and sustainability programs.
• Conduct training classes for new serving and set-up equipment.
• Perform duties of managers when necessary to ensure property management coverage.
