IHG Hotels in Illinois is seeking a Banquet Server to support events across our banquet and restaurant venues, including Michael Jordan's Steakhouse. You will assist with setup, service and post-event duties while ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of banquet server experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure as part of a team dedicated to outstanding service.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees the set up of functions including; checking the physical layout of the room, providing the Servers with the proper set-up information and posting of updated function sheets in the Banquet Kitchen.
• Oversees the service of the functions assigned by the Director of Banquets to ensure success and adherence to all service rules.
• Meets individual hosts and makes herself/himself accessible to the host for any needs that may arise.
• Closes all banquet checks following the function.
• Oversees the clean up of all functions and ensures the proper removal and storage of the hotel linen and skirting.
• Reports all incidents to the Director of Banquets.
• Monitors side jobs of servers daily.
• Performs side work as assigned.
• Prepares daily log book, payroll hours and all other office paperwork.
• Oversees proper clean up, handling and storage of all props, specialty china, and specialty linen.
• Checks pantries and storage areas daily and maintains cleanliness.
• Checks function rooms for maintenance issues and reports to Engineering Department.
• Checks grooming of service staff.
• Assists Director of Banquets in the annual evaluation of banquet servers.
• Supervises bar staff when necessary.
• Attends BEO meeting, daily F&B briefing, and 10 day meeting as required.
• Assists in the training and documentation of training for all Banquet staff.
• May assist with larger parties with private dining functions in Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, as well as general restaurant management when banquet business is slower to provide additional shifts.
• Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
