Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced Banquet Supervisor to lead the banquet department in a luxury, high-volume setting. You will oversee daily activities, coach staff, and ensure service aligns with hotel standards and guest expectations.

You will coordinate with kitchen and AV teams, manage room setups, and monitor inventory, safety, and compliance. This role offers hybrid work with opportunities across properties and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years of banquet or food & beverage operations experience with supervisory duties.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day banquet department activities and staff performance.
• Enforce company policies and conduct staff scheduling and assignments.
• Ensure proper training and provisioning of tools and equipment for staff.
• Coordinate pre-function meetings, room setups, and service delivery according to banquet event orders.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Staff on menus, delivery times, and AV/technical needs.
• Greet guests, address requests/complaints, and implement service recovery.
• Maintain security of inventory and equipment and manage supplies and par levels.
• Control labor and expenses; assist in annual departmental budget.
• Ensure equipment is prepared for next day and facilities are clean and stocked.
• Promote teamwork across departments and interact with key contacts (Sales, Catering, Housekeeping, etc.).
