Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee all banquet events, ensuring superb guest service and profitability while maintaining Brand standards. The role involves staff supervision, budgeting input, and coordinating with Sales, Catering, Housekeeping and other departments to deliver flawless events.

The ideal candidate has relevant food & beverage operations training and at least two years of banquet/F&B experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Some college or advanced food and beverage operations training.
• Two years experience in banquets or food & beverage operations, including one year supervisory experience.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of all banquet events to ensure optimum performance, guest service, and profitability.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of the banquet department, communicate objectives, and schedule/assign work.
• Recommend and/or initiate salary, disciplinary, or other staffing actions per company rules and policies.
• Ensure staff are trained and equipped to perform their functions effectively.
• Coordinate with Sales, Catering, Housekeeping, Accounting and other departments to maintain service quality.
• Interact with guests, vendors, regulatory agencies and other contacts to ensure satisfaction and compliance.
• Prepare for pre-function meetings, review function details, and ensure proper setup of venues.
