Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee the banquet department in a luxury full-service hotel. You will lead a team, coordinate with kitchen, sales, and events, and ensure flawless service for large groups and events.

The role requires strong leadership, English fluency, and experience in banquet operations. You will manage staffing, training, and quality assurance, while maintaining inventory, safety, and budget guidelines to deliver exceptional guest experiences

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in banquets or food and beverage operations, including one year supervisory experience.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of the banquet department; schedule and assign work; enforce policies.
• Recommend salary, disciplinary, or staffing actions per policy; alert management of issues.
• Ensure staff training and availability of tools and equipment.
• Oversee room setup and service delivery per guest expectations and banquet orders.
• Coordinate with kitchen and AV for menu timing and technical needs.
• Greet guests on arrival and handle requests and complaints promptly; implement service recovery.
• Review guest checks with client and obtain signatures; monitor inventory and par levels.
• Control labor and expenses; contribute to annual departmental budget; ensure equipment readiness and maintenance.
• Promote teamwork with Sales, Catering, Housekeeping, Accounting, Maintenance and Guest Services.
