Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations, service standards, and event execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; coordinate with kitchen, event staff, and service teams.
• Ability to guide and support staff, including pre-shift meetings and assigning responsibilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to adjust service to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain safety standards.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on events.

Responsibilities

• Reviews assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus before events.
• Conducts pre-banquet meetings to ensure appearance, hygiene, stations, and event orders.
• Communicates with Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or event coordinator to meet all details.
• Ensures proper quantities of china, glassware, linens, and other items.
• Secure requisitions for items not in inventory.
• Checks room setup and confirms quantities and timing of food.
• Handles equipment properly and stores after use.
• Conducts random audits to evaluate food and service quality.
• Ensures food is served at proper temperature and upsell opportunities are met.
• Maintains attendance and supports staff as required.
