Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Banquet Captain in our events team to coordinate banquet service and ensure guest satisfaction across high-profile events. The role leads staff, collaborates with culinary teams, and upholds service standards, timelines, and safety protocols.

This part-time position pays $10.00-$12.00 per hour and offers 401(k) savings plan with matching. Availability includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required
• 3–6 months of related banquet experience or training
• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcohol
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations and event execution
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate banquet staff functions and review event orders
• Lead pre-event meetings and assign stations and partners
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and Event Coordinator to plan details
• Ensure supplies, china, glassware, and linens are available
• Monitor service quality and food timing during events
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are followed
• Maintain attendance and flexible scheduling per events
