Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Banquet Houseperson (also called a Banquet Houseman) is a vital hospitality professional who manages the physical setup, teardown, cleanliness, and overall readiness of event spaces, ballrooms, and meeting rooms for banquets, weddings, and conferences.

Room Setup & Teardown: Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linens, and decor strictly according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor diagrams.

Event Support & Refreshments: Supply and replenish meeting rooms with water, glassware, and other necessary event materials during functions.

Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain function rooms, hallways, back-of-house storage, and public areas, including vacuuming, dusting, polishing fixtures, and handling trash removal.

Equipment Transport: Safely move, store, and track heavy equipment (such as tables, chairs, portable bars, and AV gear) between storage closets and function rooms.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with banquet managers, servers, kitchen staff, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions between events.

Guest Service: Greet guests professionally, respond to immediate requests, and assist with last-minute setup changes.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and climb stairs for long shifts.

Heavy Lifting: Frequently lift and carry items weighing anywhere from 50 to 100 pounds (such as staging and heavy furniture), sometimes with assistance.

Attention to Detail: Ability to read room diagrams and ensure tables, linens, and decor meet high brand/hotel standards.

Flexible Schedule: Availability to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays depending on event hours.

Communication & Teamwork: Dependable work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
