Job summary

Responsibilities

• Present and serve all food and beverage items as per the BEOs and notes.
• Coordinate with culinary chef and catering manager on service schedule.
• Ensure staff return equipment and leave the room clean and tidy.
• Supervise banquet staff assigned to the event.
• Prepare the room for functions, review table and seating diagrams.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Assist with bar back duties as required.

Embassy Suites Uptown Charlotte is seeking a motivated and energized Banquet Captain who will be responsible for planning dining events, manage F&B service, and tend to guests requests and complaints.

Job Duties:

• Ensuring that all food and beverage items are presented and server correctly and noting any special requests & instructions, se out on the BEO’s.
• Communicating with the culinary chef and catering manager any changes in the schedule of service, challenges or adverse comments that may arise during the event.
• Ensure that staff members return all equipment to the storage areas, and confirm the room is left clean and tidy.
• Supervise all banquet staff members assigned to event
• Responsible for preparing room in its entirety for a function or event, prior to the guest’s arrival and reviewing and implementing table and seating diagrams.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with all reasonable bar back duties as required.
