A leading e-commerce platform seeks a Head of Growth Marketing to enhance its demand generation strategy. You will lead initiatives to create high-quality leads, support the sales team, and shape marketing from the ground up. The role demands 5-7 years of experience, especially in SaaS or Fintech, with a strong focus on account-based marketing. A genuine passion for growth and a collaborative mindset are essential. Join us to help reshape the future of retail, driving meaningful impact for brands.
Location: New York City (Charlotte, NC and Austin, TX also considered)
Type: Full-time
Salary: $150K - $160K + bonus
At Purple Dot, our vision for e-commerce is simple: Everything that gets made, gets sold.
Nearly 1 in 4 products is never sold — leading to major losses and massive waste within the industry. We believe this problem exists because of lack of control and flexibility over when brands can sell — with long, fixed timelines where brands have to wait until stock is at the warehouse to start selling. It’s time for a radical shift in how e-commerce operates.
Purple Dot is pioneering the pre-commerce category : helping brands sell earlier — before inventory arrives — to increase sell-through, reduce waste, and drive profitability. Whether stock is 1 day or 1 year away, our platform enables smarter, faster sales that reduce risk and unlock new growth.
Trusted by over 100 leading brands including Mattel, McLaren, New Era, Limited Run Games , and Oh Polly , we process millions in pre-orders every month and are proudly leading the category out front . Backed by top investors like OpenOcean, Connect, and Unusual Ventures , we’re a 22-person team based in NYC, Charlotte, and London — and led by second-time founders with a track record of acquisition.
As the first marketer at Purple Dot, you will have full ownership of this function and be a crucial partner to our sales team to create targeted leads from new channels, and improve performance from existing channels.
In this role, you will have a high-level of autonomy to innovate and drive a predictable high-quality pipeline to support a mid-market / enterprise sales motion through building scalable demand programs and improving funnel efficiency. This role is perfect for a candidate who is motivated by a zero to one opportunity within marketing, and becoming a critical leader on Day 1 within the company to both set and execute a growth strategy.

Enable Sales with air-cover campaigns and field marketing to improve core metrics across key funnel stages
Collaborate closely with our Head of Outbound to ensure outbound campaigns are coordinated and aligned on messaging
Manage our company’s LinkedIn , and consider other social media channels, to create a professional social media presence targeted at being helpful to prospects
Establish attribution models that reflect sales-led buying journeys
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to continuously improve Purple Dot’s position in the market
5-7+ years of experience within Growth Marketing , in the SaaS or Fintech sector with $100K-$2M ARR customers — Experience in eCommerce is a major plus!
Proven track record of thriving independently — as our first in-house marketing hire, you will set the tone on what good looks like for marketing!
Solid foundation in account-based marketing through full ownership and coordination across several channels
Strong commercial mindset with deep experience working closely with Sales in a B2B environment to ultimately win more customers who are excited about the value of Purple Dot
Demonstrated ability to be agile, adjusting fast to new information or feedback through strong analytical skills
Excellent written communication skills , with a knack for building authentic rapport through copy and other sales enablement materials
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset , and eager to engage across Product, Sales and Engineering to ensure we are always leveling-up Purple Dot in the market
