Job summary

Augusta Country Club in Augusta, GA seeks a Banquet Captain to lead the events team on the floor during member and private events, weddings, and clubs functions. You will ensure servers and bartenders maintain polished service and standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating service between kitchen and staff, inspecting set-ups, directing team members, managing opening/closing side work, and upholding health and safety guidelines. Dependability and strong guest focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in food service industry, preferably in catering/banquet environment.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the events team on the floor during member club events, private events, weddings, and more.
• Coordinate food service between kitchen and banquet service staff when a manager isn’t present.
• Inspect all set-ups and ensure they follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Direct servers and bartenders throughout events and monitor beverage service.
