Job summary

Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel is seeking an ambitious banquet server to join our events team in Charlotte, NC. You will help provide exceptional guest experiences during functions, ensuring service standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include preparing dressings, serving with proper china and glassware, assisting other staff, and maintaining health and safety regulations. A positive demeanor and hospitality experience are valued for smooth event execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or banquet service is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated.
• Excellent customer service and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.
• Ensure quality guest service and comfort at all times by monitoring the area continuously.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, beverages, wines, etc.
• Serve all items using appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
• Assist servers and set up housepersons if needed.
• Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining high standard of presentation.
• Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.
• Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Report on any shortages, damages or security issues.
• Handle reasonable guest complaints/requests and inform others when required.
