Job summary

Maggiano's Little Italy is opening a new location at Tysons Corner Center and seeks an experienced Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and flawlessly execute banquet events. You will own all event details after booking, including room setup, seating plans, timelines, staffing, menus, and on-site execution.

You will work closely with Sales, Culinary, and Restaurant Leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience from handoff to completion and ensure events meet standards and guest

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel, catering, or banquet operations required.
• Experience leading event execution and service teams.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service standards and room setups.
• Ability to read and execute BEOs, layouts, and event contracts.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent guest-service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with banquet systems, CRM, or event software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Own event details from handoff; manage plans, room setup, seating, and timelines.
• Review contracts, BEOs, and notes for accuracy and completeness.
• Create timelines, layouts, seating charts, and room assignments.
• Coordinate menu selections and dietary needs.
• Schedule banquet staff based on event size and needs.
• Lead day-of execution and ensure on-time delivery.
• Serve as primary on-site host contact.
• Conduct pre-event logistics meetings with teams.
• Develop and enforce banquet SOPs.
• Hire, train, and coach banquet teams.
• Ensure rooms match diagrams and guest specs.
• Maintain inventory for banquet service, linens, A/V.
• Collaborate with culinary on timing and menu execution.
