The Langham, Chicago is seeking a dedicated cooks assistant to support the banquet and outlet kitchens. You will prepare food items per standardized recipes, set up for banquets and outlets, and ensure proper storage with labels and dates.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, sanitized area, assisting with prep lists, and ensuring timely production. High school diploma preferred with 1 year cook experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• One year of line or banquet cook experience preferred.
• Familiar with classical knife cuts and Mother Sauces preparation.

Responsibilities

• Supply workstation with all needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production.
• Prepare prep work for menu items using standardized recipes for outlets and banquets.
• Store all food in refrigerated boxes with proper labeling and dating.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
