Job summary

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena in Los Angeles is seeking a Cook 1 for the Banquet Kitchen. You will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for various banquet events.

Under the Banquet Chef, you will supply your workstation, read menus, estimate requirements, and ensure high-quality food service while following safety standards and schedules that reflect the hospitality industry's cyclical nature.

Qualifications

• Prior Line or Banquet Supervisory experience of 5 year in a high volume atmosphere.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Experience in a Banquet Kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepares, portion, cook, and presents a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods for all Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s).
• Supply assigned workstation with all needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production.
• Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records to plan production and requisition supplies.
