Job summary

The Langham Chicago is seeking a Line Cook to assist in preparing all food items for our outlets and banquets, following standardized recipes from BEOs and guest checks. Strong knife skills and knowledge of the mother sauces are valued.

You will stock your workstation, prep menu items, store foods properly, and maintain a clean, sanitary area. A high school diploma is preferred; one year of line or banquet cook experience is helpful. This is a full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or banquet cook experience preferred.
• Familiarity with knife cuts and the classical mother sauces required.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks by preparing all food items per standardized recipes from BEOs or guest checks.
• Stock workstation with needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production.
• Store all food properly in refrigerated containers with labels and dates; maintain sanitation at all times.
