Job summary

The Langham, Chicago is seeking an experienced kitchen professional to assist cooks in preparing all menu items using standardized recipes from BEOs and guest checks. You will ensure your workstation is stocked, prep is completed for outlets and banquets, and food is stored properly with clear labeling.

Candidates should have line or banquet cook experience, knowledge of knife cuts and Mother Sauces, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Line or Banquet cook experience of one year preferred.
• Knowledge of vegetable and fruit prep; knife cuts.
• Familiar with classical knife cuts and Mother Sauces.

Responsibilities

• Supply workstation with all needed products and culinary equipment.
• Prepare prep work using standardized recipes and prep lists for banquets.
• Store food in refrigerated boxes with proper labeling to prevent waste.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
