Banquet Cook - Part Time - The Langham, Chicago

Position Overview

The primary objective of this position is to assist cooks in preparing all food items for Food & Beverage Outlets and Banquets, following standardized recipes from Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) or guest checks.

Responsibilities

• Supply assigned workstation with necessary products and equipment for prompt production.
• Prepare menu items using standardized recipes; set up and prepare banquet items per prep lists and BEOs.
• Store all food properly in refrigerated containers with covers, labels, and dates to prevent waste and spoilage.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area at all times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• At least one year of line or banquet cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Familiarity with classical knife cuts and the Mother Sauces, with ability to prepare at least three.

Licenses and Certifications

• Ability to obtain any required government licenses or certificates.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $21.80 - $27.25/hour.
